Confirmation Retreat (All Are Welcome!)

February 27–28 | St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church (Aiken)
RSVP by February 15

This February, our Convocation is offering a joint Confirmation Retreat for youth and adults — and you do not need to be sure you want to be confirmed to attend.

This retreat is for:

  • Those considering Confirmation, Reception, or Reaffirmation
  • Newcomers to the Episcopal Church
  • Anyone who is curious, exploring faith, or wanting a refresher
  • Those who simply want to learn more about what Episcopalians believe and practice

What’s the difference?

  • Confirmation: For those who have not previously made a mature affirmation of faith in the Episcopal Church
  • Reception: For those confirmed in another Christian tradition who wish to be formally received into the Episcopal Church
  • Reaffirmation: For those already confirmed who desire a renewed commitment of faith

Not sure which applies to you? That’s exactly why this retreat exists.

About the Retreat

This will be our first-ever joint convocational retreat, bringing together participants from multiple Episcopal churches. The retreat will include teaching, discussion, prayer, and space for questions — all in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

Participation in the retreat does not obligate you to be confirmed by the Bishop later this year. It is simply an opportunity to learn, reflect, and discern.

The Bishop will be visiting St. Bart's at the end of August, making this retreat an ideal starting point for anyone considering next steps.
