St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church

Sunday, May 24, 2026 | Service at 10:00 a.m. | Reception at 11:00 a.m. St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church | 471 W Martintown Rd, North Augusta, SC 29841

On Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026, St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church will gather to celebrate the ministry of Deacon Pam Crossley — nearly four years of faithful, tireless, outward-facing service to this parish and to the North Augusta community.

All are welcome. No RSVP is required.

A Pentecost Story

Pentecost is the feast on which the church celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit — the birthday of the church, the day people were sent out. It is fitting, then, that a Pentecost Sunday was a defining moment in Pam Crossley's own journey to ordained ministry. On that day she heard God calling her to promote justice and peace, to help the church serve the least of these. She has spent her diaconal ministry doing exactly that.

It is equally fitting that we honor her on a Pentecost Sunday. The symmetry is not accidental. It is grace.

About Deacon Pam

Deacon Pam Crossley began her ministry at St. Bartholomew's in July 2022. In the years since, she has been a living sign of what a deacon is called to be: the church turned outward, the hinge between altar and world.

Her ministry here has included serving alongside community organizations including Masters Table, Golden Harvest Food Bank, Walking Tall Ministries, and CMONA — the Community Ministry of North Augusta. She has proclaimed the Gospel, dismissed the congregation into the world at the close of every service, coordinated our Safe Church ministry, and trained and scheduled the lay servers who assist at the altar each Sunday.

She has not only served the community — she has helped shape a parish culture in which service is understood as central to what it means to be the church.

The Celebration

Deacon Pam will preach the sermon at the 10:00 a.m. service on May 24. Following the service, the parish will host a reception in her honor in the Parish Hall beginning at 11:00 a.m.

All are warmly invited — members of St. Bartholomew's, friends from the broader community, colleagues from the organizations Pam has served alongside, and anyone who has been touched by her ministry.
