Vision Statement
God has called us to be a diverse community where all may encounter God’s love. God strengthens and nourishes us through the sacraments and speaks to us through scripture, tradition, and reason.
Our worship services are fully accessible in person and online, supported by a variety of music, good sermons, and relevant teaching. We provide a unique mix of the traditional and contemporary in both music and liturgy.
We strive, with God's help, to serve all who hunger for the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

We welcome you to Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church. We are located in the quaint community of North Augusta, South Carolina. We are the “small church with a big heart” who welcomes all God’s children. Whether you are new to the community, looking for a new church home, or just seeking a place to worship, we invite you to join us.
We offer one service at 10:00am. This is a traditional liturgical service, with organ and hymns.

Reconciliation of Penitent
"The Reconciliation of a Penitent" is individual confession and is available any time. Reconciliation/Confession is an opportunity, a chance to name before God and someone else the things for which we are sorry and which burden our soul and conscience. As we so often say in the Episcopal Church, "All Can, Some Should, None Must," Confidentiality is morally and completely absolute. Church Picnic - May 19th
Save the Date! To welcome in summer, we will be having our church picnic on the back lawn on May 19th immediately following the 10am service. Hamburgers and drinks will be provided. Bring your lawn chairs and a side dish to share. Come and enjoy the sun and enjoy music provided by Simple Gifts and lawn games!

Health Screening

Adult Education Class April 17th
Join us for a transformative journey this Easter Season as we explore the depths of resurrection faith and how it can shape our lives. Our Adult Sunday School class, led by Fr. Joseph, will delve into the themes of hope, renewal, and transformation that the resurrection of Jesus Christ brings into our lives and our world. While not a book study, the teachings will be enriched by insights from A Resurrection Shaped Life by Jake Owensby. This series will run from Sunday, April 7, 2024, through May 12, 2024, meeting at 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Education Building. Whether you are seeking to deepen your faith, or understand the power of resurrection in new ways, we hope that this class will be a source of inspiration and spiritual growth. Centering Prayer
Centering Prayer polishes our hearts, removing barriers so that we may quietly rest in deep communion with God.

Wine and Wisdom
Wine and Wisdom will resume on May 1st with dinner at 6:00pm followed by our discussion at 6:45pm. Everyone is invited to come for one or both! Ministries
There's a place for all ages at Saint Bartholomew's. We offer Sunday School for our children and adults. Our youth teams up with other churches for various activities, and we have a variety of weekly adult offerings.
Saint Bartholomew’s recognizes that the church flourishes when we incorporate the time and talents of all of it’s members. We encourage everyone to find a ministry that they enjoy; From serving as an acolyte to welcoming newcomers, Saint Bartholomew’s has a place for all to serve and spread the love of Christ.
Saint Bartholomew’s is known as the “Pumpkin Church.” This is just one ministry we engage in to support our community. Other outreach programs include a Fall Bazaar, July 4th BBQ, Blessing of the Animals, Hagar’s Basket, Brown Bag Ministry, CMONA, Soup Kitchen, and Lenten Fish Fry.
Saint Bartholomew’s has partnered with the Vivanco family and Brenda Martinez, a recipient of the Education=Hope fund, who reside in Quito, Ecuador to work spreading the love of Christ by worshiping together, building community through engaging activities, and assisting in local renovation projects.
We are also following the work of Jamie Holodak, a parishioner who recently joined the Peace Corps who is based in Senegal.
