Welcome
Walking with God is part of the human experience, and the people of Saint Bartholomew’s invite you to join us in our spiritual journey as we experience God working in our lives today. Whether you are new to the Christian faith, or a committed Christian, or someone who is searching and not sure about faith and God, you are welcome here! At Saint Bartholomew’s, we believe that you are loved by God, and we encourage you to be a part of this community where the love of God is shared with all who come searching for a deeper meaning in life.
Saint Bartholomew’s is not for everyone. This is a congregation which deeply loves Jesus Christ but also believes that we have the right to question and enter into a dialogue with one another about matters of faith. We are part of the world-wide Anglican Communion which has over 70 million members embracing the doctrine of the ancient, apostolic church that adheres to the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds and that uses liturgical worship to express its desire to know and to honor God.
If you wish to be part of a faith community where you may embrace a living faith while wrestling with issues, be fed and feed others, be served and serve others, then Saint Bartholomew’s may be the place to which God is calling you. Come and see for yourself!
You may also wish to visit the Episcopal Church's Online Visitors' Center and the Diocese of Upper South Carolina.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing with you the wonders of faith in Jesus Christ.
Rector and Pastor, David F. O. Thompson
